Corporal 203086, 11th Bn., East Yorkshire Regiment. Killed in action 8th September 1918. Aged 32. Son of William and Fannie Ann Jarratt, of Kirk Hammerton, York. Commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial, Comines-Warneton, Hainaut, Belgium, Panel 4. Hubert is shown as Hubert Frederick William Jarratt on the CWGC database and in SDGW. He was born and lived in Kirk Hammerton and enlisted in York.

Private 201516, 2nd/5th Bn., West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Own). Died 16th February 1917. Buried Ten Tree Alley Cemetery, Puisieux, Pas de Calais, France, A. 28.
The following was published in the Yorkshire Herald on 23rd August 1916
Private Alma Walkington was a gardener at Brinkworth Hall, Elvington, and joined the West Yorkshire Regiment in October last. He is 23 years of age and single. He is at present stationed in the Eastern Counties.
